The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hospitality, leadership, and customer service, with proven expertise in managing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations. Responsibilities:

  1. 1.       Lead Daily Operations

Manage and oversee the restaurant’s daily operations to ensure seamless service and an unforgettable guest experience.

  1. 2.       Recruit and Train Team Members

Hire, onboard, and train new staff, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to deliver top-notch service.

  1. 3.       Schedule and Performance Management

Create staff schedules, monitor performance, and support the team in maintaining high productivity and exceptional customer satisfaction.

  1. 4.       Inventory and Revenue Management

Keep track of inventory, monitor sales, and adjust procedures or pricing when needed to drive efficiency and profitability.

  1. 5.       Handle Customer Feedback

Address customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

  1. 6.       Manage Supplier Relationships

Negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality products at the best value, aligning with Verace’s standards of excellence.

  1. 7.       Event Planning

Oversee the planning and execution of private events, collaborating with clients to exceed their expectations and create memorable experiences.

  1. 8.       Team Development

Provide ongoing coaching, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  1. 9.       Menu Collaboration

Work closely with the culinary team to update and refine menus for dine-in, take-out, and delivery services, incorporating seasonal and customer-favorite options.

  1. 10.    Financial Oversight

Track and analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of restaurant management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: A college diploma (minimum 2 years) in hospitality, business management, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with Croatian cuisine and beverages is a strong asset. At least 1 year of experience managing Croatian-style food and drink offerings is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Croatian or familiarity with the language is a bonus but not a requirement.
  • Customer Service: A passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, handling complaints professionally, and building guest loyalty.
  • Menu Planning & Events: Experience overseeing menu development, coordinating private events, and training staff to ensure consistent service quality.
  • Administrative Skills: Proficiency in cash management, financial reporting, and technical troubleshooting to support day-to-day operations.
