Family of Four Seeking Full-time Home Child Care Provider 

About our family:

• Parents sometimes work from home
• The kids are 4 and 6 years old
• Kids go to school
• Kids are wildly creative and love swimming, drawing, singing, dancing, decorating, baking, performing, and playing.

Ideal Candidate:

• Have at least a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children
• Excel at creating order from chaos in playful way
• Enjoy being active, outdoors, music, and crafts
• Love to travel, be comfortable on planes of all sizes, and enjoy spontaneity
• Be able to maintain order and organization in a busy home environment, and help kids to maintain order and tidy after themselves
• Have backup plans ready for kid activities when family plans shift

Job Details:

Location: Vancouver BC at employers home

Wage: 18/hr/ 40 hours per week, Permanent employment

Language: English

Education: High School graduation or equivalent

Start: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Help children with homework
