General Job Duties

• Prepare construction project schedules and reports

• Supervise or conduct inspections or technical investigations of buildings and structures to provide data for decision purposes

• Conduct or supervise inspection and testing of construction materials

• Assisting in supervising, monitoring and inspecting construction projects.

 

 

Salary: $28-30/hour depending on experience

Education 

• Completion of a two- or three-year college program in civil engineering technology or a closely related discipline

Trade certification: 

This is a regulated occupation in Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will work under supervision until he/she becomes eligible for certification.

 

Languages

• English

 

Work experience

• At least 1 year of proven experience

 

Security and safety

• Must be able to obtain police clearances

Personal suitability

• Requires attention to details

• Must be willing to undergo training in work areas that they are unfamiliar with

• Team player
